Attendance Fee

Attending the event costs $5 per person; event volunteers get in for free.

The attendee fee is used to provide snacks for you; lunches for your hardworking volunteers; and cover the cost of supplies (as well as facility costs. if applicable). Any excess is saved up towards future WRRF events and programs. Payment is due at check-in.

Due to rising costs, we have indefinitely suspended the group discount we offered in past years. Online payment options are also discontinued for the time being, though we are looking into bringing them back. Teams can still pay for all attending members at once via cash or check.

Even if you're paying for your team as a group, all attending members must still register individually so that session leaders have accurate headcounts to prepare for and contact lists to send resources to.

Checking In

Check-in will take place in the front of Manley Hall.

If you are paying with cash or check, please have that ready. If your team paid for you, let us know what team you're from so we can check it against our list of teams who paid as groups.

Regardless of whether you are an attendee or volunteer, you must come check in with us. Ideally, check in during our designated check-in period (8:20am-8:50am), but if you have to come later, we'll have volunteers at the front desk until the late afternoon.

Food

Attendees must bring their own lunches. Event volunteers will have lunch provided for them, unless they explicitly decline.

Snacks and refreshments are included in the attendance fee, and will be offered to both attendees and volunteers during lunch. Light breakfast foods (e.g. coffee and fruits) may also be available for everyone in the morning.

E-Waste Recycling Bin Available at Event

We are partnering with Zero Waste Silicon Valley to provide an e-waste recycling bin at the event!

This is to encourage environmentally responsible and sustainable disposal of technology in a time of frantic manufacturing and frequent upgrades. The bin will be placed near the entrance of the SCDI building (where check-in and all sessions are happening). We encourage all attendees to take advantage of it!

Health Safety

We are not currently enforcing any particular health protocols.

Nevertheless, please do continue to exercise typical health precautions and common sense (wash your hands often, cover your mouth when you cough, etc.) and stay home if you are showing signs of any sort of illness. Help us keep you and your fellow robotics enthusiasts safe!
